Effective date: August 30, 2026 · Applies to the FitProgress Android app (com.kuchek.fitprogress) and its backend service.
FitProgress is a fitness tracking app for logging workouts, setting goals, and reviewing progress over time. This policy describes what data FitProgress collects, why, and how you can control or delete it. It reflects what the app actually does — not planned or future functionality.
| Source | Data | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Google Sign-In | Name, email address, Google account ID | Identify your FitProgress account and let you sync data across devices |
| Your use of the app | Goals and workouts you create, synced to the FitProgress backend when you're signed in | Keep your data available across devices and back it up off-device |
| Health Connect (only if you connect it) | Exercise sessions, distance, steps, calories burned, and body weight | Import workouts automatically and show progress/activity trends |
| Google Play Billing (only if you subscribe) | Product ID, purchase token, resulting Premium entitlement status | Unlock and verify Premium features; payment details themselves are handled entirely by Google Play and never reach FitProgress |
| Google AdMob (free tier only — not for Premium users) | Approximate location derived from IP address, device/advertising identifiers, ad interaction data, and diagnostics | Serve and measure the ad banner shown to free users |
Before any ad is requested, FitProgress uses Google's User Messaging Platform to determine whether your region requires a consent choice and, if so, to collect it. You can change or withdraw that choice at any time from Profile → Ad privacy options. Premium removes the ad banner entirely, regardless of consent status.
All traffic between the app and the FitProgress backend, and between the app and Google's own services (Sign-In, Health Connect, Play Billing, AdMob), is encrypted in transit over HTTPS. We do not sell your personal data to anyone, for any purpose.
Workouts, goals, and settings are stored locally on your device. If you sign in with Google and sync, a copy is also stored on the FitProgress server for as long as your account exists, so your data stays available across devices. Data is retained until you delete it (per item) or delete your account.
You can permanently delete your FitProgress account and everything stored for it on the FitProgress server at any time, in either of two ways:
Deleting your account removes your account record, your synced goals/workouts/activity history, connected data-source records, and subscription history from the FitProgress server. It does not affect your underlying Google account, and it does not remove data that only ever existed on your device and was never synced (uninstalling the app or clearing its storage removes that).
FitProgress is not directed at children under the age required by local law to use fitness, account, billing, or advertising-supported apps.
We may update this policy when the app's features, integrations, or data handling change. We'll update the effective date above when that happens.
